What an incredible way to end the week! Q Sustain Ltd has been awarded a prestigious CIBSE Building Performance Award for our ground-breaking LED retrofit project with Network Rail at New Street Station. We were up against some impressive competition, making this win even more special!
> By applying the CIBSE TM65 methodology, we quantified the significant carbon savings from retrofitting 891 lights, resulting in a reduction of 163 tonnes of CO2e. The judges highlighted our “proactive client engagement” with Patrick Power Steven Ireland “significant knowledge share with industry,” and our collaborative approach with Designplan Lighting Colin Brace , who were instrumental in this project.
This award underscores our commitment to pushing the boundaries of sustainable building practices and emphasising the importance of embodied carbon. We believe in challenging the initial question: “Do we need to replace all of this?” before embarking on large-scale product replacements.
